The house is conceived as a two-storey structure, the upper of floor of which is set back. The floor plan has the character of an atrium house bound by stone walls and opened to the southwest through a wavy glazed wall. The mass of the house is a wooden rectangular prism set on a stone pedestal (ground floor) made of local stone. The ground floor interior and the exterior of the upper floor are clad in cedar. The ground floor is the main living space and service zone of the house with the living room connected to the terrace and garden through large format glazing. Auxiliary spaces are situated along the northern side, including the garage and carport. The upper floor is the private part of the house with bedrooms. Photo: Iveta Kopicová
